SCARCE Antique Late 1800's " TELEPHONE MILL " Cast Iron Wall Mounted Coffee Grinder manufactured by Arcade Mfg. This recent find included the original tin cover for the top of the coffee grinder along with its tin catch cup as shown in our photos. It even came with the screws from the farmhouse kitchen that attached it to the wall. We believe this is called the Telephone Mill because back then they had crank handle phones that rang to call the operator on the switchboard and the large crank is quite similar. The only flaws we could locate is a raised part in the wood for the upper left side screw and a small portion of the casting around the handle which doesn't effect its operation and is barely noticeable.

The raised lettering on the front panel is ornate and has some of the patent dates as far back as 1886. A terrific antique coffee mill that is fairly scarce to find anymore and an excellent example for someone's collection.
