Antique 1888 Imperial 705 Coffee Grinder Rare Copper Toned Top-Original Family

MESSAGE FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS & BUYERS OUTSIDE THE USA ONLY. Antique 1888 Imperial 705 Coffee Grinder. My pictures will not do this item justice as you have to be up front and personal with it to. Rare Copper Toned Top - Most were black.

This has been in family since new and the conditions reflects this. It still has part of the original label on the front showing patent dates etc. Wood is in exceptional used but not abused condition. I would say very good and without so much as a crack. Drawer is tongue and groove pattern, as is the box frame of item and is original and very good as well with original knob. Opening cover works as it should. Cranks smoothly and grinds well.

I have attached a short video and yes the crank/grinder is suppose to found like that. Grinder is heavy duty made in my view.

Handle is original and without repairs. Crank knob is original and nice. This may be one of the nicest for its age as you may find. I had this setting on my old English open face china cabinet in my kitchen. Looked sharp as heck setting there too. However I collect the very first Jadeite pieces. This item lost space on my cabinet for those new pieces. I literally have no other place to display this in my home here or I would.

I hate to get rid of this but in downsizing as an empty nester I just can not keep everything. This home is about 1,500 sq. Ft smaller than my Victorian Home was. I love it but nevertheless it has less space. If the label was intact I would say this is near mint.

If you look past the label I would say this is near mint or close to it. Especially if you consider that this is over 130 years old and still in this condition. Plus this is one of rarer ones with the copper toned tops. If you are looking for one that has no repairs or issues, that looks impressive just setting there being pretty or used. That is all original from original family.

This may be one for you to serious consider. No sales pitch, pictures speak for themselves. In addition this is a heavy rascal. It may weight close to 5 pounds give or take. You might be able to find cheaper ones that have had replacements and such or repairs or repaired.

Or the wood just looks not so good or to the point of being crappy looking. Hard to find a nicer one this old I figure.

I would like to see this get to a really good home. Most of which I feel is just Common Sense. Item(s) listed herein may have some degree of aging, use, wear, yellowing, patina and so on just from the fact is it old (or used or both) and the degree of whichever will apply, if any, will vary from item to item. Please view all pictures of the item.

Then make your final decision on the item from there. Items Subject to Prior Sale. In doing this there is the very very very rare remote chance an item may sell on more than one site the same day.

Though rare it COULD happen. This has taken away my option of choice. I do not favor this policy. I have been getting emails asking where my listings went on the last day of the listing and thought I had better explain why? I just like to be strait upwith potential buyers. May your days be blessed and those you care about well. I TRY TO KEEP IT REALLY SIMPLE.

I WILL SELL ITEMS FOR FRIENDS OR FAMILY. I MAKE NO COMMISSIONS ON THOSE ITEMS.

IN ADDITION IN 30-40 YEARS OF LIVING IN THE SAME VICTORIAN HOME THAT HAD MANY BARNS/OUTBUILDINGS I HAVE ACCUMULATED A LOT OF, WELL, I WILL CALL THEM MY "COLLECTIONS". DOWNSIZING BY CHOICE TO A SMALLER HOME I HAVE A LOT OF "STUFF" AND "ITEMS" TO SELL. I do not consider this ethical nor fair to other possible buyers. (AT END OF LISTINGS THAT DO NOT SELL).

(MAKING AN OFFER ON AN ITEM). I do not feel it is fair to others who may have viewed this item, or are watching an item that is listed. (THE ABOVE COMMENTS ARE NOTHING PERSONAL).

ALL DESCRIPTIONS ARE HONEST AND TO MY BEST ABILITY. Some examples would be a "coin", "deck of cards" or similar. If there are pictures of them they ARE NOT included in the sale. They are there for size reference only.

Only the item being described is what is offered for sale in the description of the item itself. This is pretty much common sense but thought I should make note of this. No exceptions will be made to this. It is 100% the Buyers Responsibly to have their address correct within this System.

There will be no exceptions to this. This means you must come here and pick the item up at your expense or you must make arrangements with some third party to pick it up on your behalf and 100% at your expense.

Just a Comment on Vintage items. Because I like old Vintage items. VINTAGE, RETRO, ANTIQUE & OLD ITEMS THEY ARE SO COOL. Please remember that Vintage and Antique items will show some wear, blemishes, and imperfections that they have acquired though the years. Old magazines, books, publications, booklets and manuals may come with wear, age spots & page discoloration.

Some may have a slight age or. It's a natural process. I collect or have collected many Vintage items over the years and I personally feel this adds to their character, charm and shows that the background and history of the pieces as being authentically old and thus making them more in demand, collectable and desirable to those that enjoy and/or collect them.

Remember that even a vintage item in really good condition is old and it may not function as well as when it was originally made. Plastic type and other items can change color and/or weaken over time because of light, pollutants, heat, humidity and other items in the air. So if you intend on using a Vintage item, please be aware of this, and be careful. We can not control how you use them. They may be more subject to breaking just because of the fact they are old.

We are not perfect and if we miss something we apologize in advance and just know it was not intentional. As with all the items we sell, we sell these items As IS and with all faults "if any".
