Antique Cast Iron Kenrick & Sons No. 2 Victorian Coffee MILL Grinder
Original 1890's iron and brass coffee grinder manufactured by Kenrick & Sons of West Bromwich. This model is the rarer No. 2 square grinder, with a decorated brass hopper and a turned hardwood wood knob on the grinding handle. The base of grinder is 5 inches (12.8cm) square, and it's 5.5 inches (14cm) to the height of the hopper. The hopper itself has a 4 inch (10.2cm) diameter. The coffee in the photograph was ground by this machine, so it really does work! It squeaks a bit when turning, but the resulting grind is lovely.
(Sorry, the coffee doesn't come with the grinder). The iron and brass is in very good condition, having moderate wear commensurate with age, and the only potential flaw is that a little nibble has been taken out of the nameplate on the right side (highlighted in photograph). Delightful piece of Victorian kitchenalia, please feel free to get in touch with questions.
