The mill will fasten firmly to a tabletop or shelf up to 1 1/2 thick, using the screw clamp which moves easily. The roasted coffee beans go into the funnel at the top. The handle moves easily on ball bearings, and there is a brass set screw to adjust the fineness of the ground coffee.
There are two wing nuts on each side which allow you to remove the back to see the grinding plates, as shown in the photo. The ground coffee comes out of the spout on the back. It looks like it was stored carefully and used lightly. There are no cracks, chips or rust. It has been in my personal collection for over 20 years.
