Antique French Coffee Grinder Peugeot Freres N°a1 Bean MILL Cast Iron Wood Brass
A charming antique french brocante and antiques from 18th century until the Art Déco period that come from the Loire Valley, known for its history, wine, family property, manoir and castles. But not only, we travel all around France to truffle the best antiques. The body is cast iron with brass, whereas the handle and the harvest rack are made of wood. There are two holes from each side in order to fix it to a table. Heavyweight high quality coffee grinder, it weighs 5.5kg. The first cast iron mills of the Peugeot brand began to be manufactured from 1855.
This one dates to the end of 1800, early 1900. These mills, also called counter or grocer mills, were used to grind large quantities of various seeds: coffee, sugar, oats. Today, manual Peugeot coffee mills are among these vintage items that are very popular with collectors! Measurements : 22cm/ 8.66" length, 18cm/ 7" large and 37cm/14.5 height.
