THIS TAPE'S MEASUREMENT INCREMENTS ARE IN. The Ell unit of measurement was no longer in use past the late 1800's. The measurement is from elbow to finger tip (like a cubit). This special antique is truly a rare specimen that one does not see every day. THE BOX ITSELF IS A FIGURAL REPRESENTATION OF A COFFEE GRINDER.
