Antique German Coffee grinder

He stated that it was made in the 1860s in Germany, though the maker is unknown. There is an illegible signature in pencil, but it must be taken apart in order to see it. I did that early on, but I could not decifer the signature. This was my daily grinder for several years, but I have used it infrequently probably for the past 6 or 7 years.

It is in working order.
