Woodruff & Edwards Elgin National Coffee Grinders are highly prized and sought after by collectors worldwide, seen as period pieces in many historical exhibits. They could be found in a plethora of sizes and styles. This Grinder is best known as The Little National Coffee & Spice Mill presented in the most popular "table top" size. This unique piece would make a stunning home display or coffee bar accent, bakery, coffee shop, or restaurant center piece, This mill appears to be in its original condition. Ready for display or to be expertly refurbished. The gold gilt accents and lettering contrasts nicely against the natural patina of the original enameled maroon over cast iron finish. The hopper screw flange shows a piece missing where the hopper top would mount to. Is very clean and does not include the original hopper cover.

Judging by its condition, this piece looks though it has been well cared for over the last century and was not heavily used. Inside, the mechanics work as they should, the gears turn nicely. You'll notice the presence of mild surface rust / patina on some of the parts, what's pictured is the worst of it. The original wood wheel handle is in tact and , there are no loose parts of wood.
