Coffee Spice Grinder Dated 1848 Cherry Dovetailed Brass Iron Lancaster County PA
Measurements: 5 1/8 inches by 4 7/8 inches and 8 1/2 inches high. This coffee or spice grinder was found in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
The case is made of cherry and dovetailed case and nailed drawer. The iron handle is dated 1848. It is 5 1/8 inches by 4 7/8 inches and about 8 1/2 inches high. The surface is an old mellow patina. The grinder is in good structural condition. Two lines or age cracks on right side panel (see pic).Some minor dings on edges from use. A very nice primitive country coffee grinder from 1848.
