Large French Vintage Peugeot Ornate Coffee Grinder

A large Ornate Peugeot Coffee Grinder. These coffee grinders were originally in shops and cafes and it has 3 holes for screws where it would have been attached to the counter. The top slides open to reveal a cavity to place the coffee beans. A wooden draw in the base catches the freshly ground coffee. As you can see from the picture, it shows signs of its age and use.

Marked Peugeot Freres Brevettes S. Around the base and A1 which relates to the size. These coffee grinders were made from 1879 until 1943. This has been sympathetically cleaned and polished. It measures approximately 34 cm tall, the base is15 cm square 9 cm tall. Please take a look at the photos as they form part of the description.
