Woodruff & Edwards National Coffee Grinder with remarkable quality original and untouched paint finish --just look at the fine detail in t. He painted eagle logo and the striping around top and neck---THIS IS A TRUE FIND for a serious collector. ORIGINAL AMERICAN EAGLE LOGO grasping bow and arrows ON BOTH FRONT AND REAR SIDES. If you're looking for a great piece of cast iron, Americana and coffee history, this Woodruff and Edwards coffee grinder commands attention like no other. Manufactured by the Woodruff & Edwards Co. Number 44, present in three markings: bright gold paint on grinder front, plus 44 mark forged inside hopper and underside of base.

Mill has two wheels, 15 diameter each. Please note, wheels begin to turn but something stops them. Original finial is missing (they often are) but I have a simple brass finial (see third photograph) which fits and will be included if you wish. Condition: all original paint, very solid piece. Surface weathering of paint but no visible issues with rust.

Top receptacle lid slides open freely. Wheels start to turn, but something stops them, as if a lever must be switched open or something (not an expert on antique coffee grinders). PAINT APPEARS SOMEWHAT DARKER RED THAN PHOTOS INDICATE--they show it brighter red than actual. THE ACTUAL COLOR IS A DUSTY DARK RED/MAROON. NO ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO CLEAN THIS ITEM.
